Dimaggio offspring dominate at British Breeders’ awards
Dimaggio offspring took the honours in all three age categories of the Top British-Bred Dressage Horse Awards at the British Breeding Breeders’ Dinner & Awards Ceremony held at the Grange City Hotel, London, on 10 January 2009.
Sponsored by British Dressage, the four-year-old section was won by Half Moon Dynasty, who is owned and bred by Jon and Julie Deverill of the Half Moon Stud and ridden by Tim Sillevis.
The five-year-old title went to Headmore Delegate, who is owned and bred by Sarah Oppenheimer and ridden by daughter Alice Oppenheimer.
Woodlander Dornroeschen (pictured at the 2008 National Convention) headed the six-year-old section. Bred by Karin and Manfred Hoerner of the Tremorfa Stud, she is now owned by Lynne Crowden and ridden by Michael Eilberg.
King’s Piper, owned and ridden by Liz Harcombe, won the dressage section of the Racehorse to Riding Horse Performance Championships, sponsored by South Essex Insurance Brokers. The 17-year-old 16.2hh gelding by Nickel King has competed up to medium and at regional championship level.
Katy Holder Vale’s Classic Prada, by Classic Juan, won the BEF Futurity Foal Award, sponsored by Baileys Horse Feeds.
