In Scotland we have a Regional Committee of volunteers who help to run the region - meet the team that keep Scotland on the map!
Each committee member has their own area of expertise, the regional committee for Scotland consists of representatives for the following areas:

Chairman - Sharon Lindop
Originally qualified as a Chartered Accountant, Aberdeenshire based Sharon has spent most of her career in the energy sector, working with internationally renowned brands like BP and Shell on finance matters, business planning and leadership development. Sharon has been an active dressage competitor since 2005 and has qualified for most major Championships across the levels.
Youth representative - Kerry Sutherland
With over 25 years in the equestrian industry Kerry is a qualified instructor with her own business, training and coaching individuals of all ages and standards, whether recreational or those looking to follow a career in the industry. Kerry took on the role as BD Youth rep in 2018 and works tirelessly to support Scotland's young riders.
Senior training representative - Linda Thomson
Linda is passionate about dressage having competed to Inter I including at Nationals and Premier League. Linda became a riding school instructor when leaving school at 16 and is now a freelance dressage trainer.
Coaching representative - Jean Stephen
Having been been involved in dressage for many years as a competitor, organiser, volunteer and coach Jean has a wealth of knowledge. Jean is a BD Accrediated coach and holds the UKCC level 3 qualification in both generic and dressage specific as well as BHS qualifications.
Para representative - Clare Molyneux
Clare has worked within the equestrian industry for 50 years both a coach and saddle fitter. In 2011 competed successfully in para-dressage grade 2, winning the BD winter championship and competing in the Hickstead Championship. Clare has ridden for GB as an individual in the FEI International 2* para dressage at Bishop Burton and has represented Scotland at the Para Home Internationals.
Judges representative - Gillian Peters
Gillian is a Chartered Accountant, teaching at the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen. Gillian is a List 2a judge and has been judging throughout Scotland for over 25 years. As an active committee member of Gordon Dressage Group, Gillian as previously held the roles of Vice Chairman, Secretary and Treasurer.
Judges representative - Caroline Paterson
Caroline has previously worked as a Field Marketing Executive with McDonalds and General manager at FedEx UK. Taking her first judge exam in April 2013 Caroline is now a List 3a judge. As well as this Caroline hold the UKCC level 2 qualification.
Marketing representative - Amelia Ratcliffe-Smith
Amelia has a an HND in Marketing and Degree in Public Relations (BA Hons) from Robert Gordon University. Amelia is the youngest member of our committee and was a member of the winning Scotland team at the 2017 BD Youth Home Internationals. Amelia has completed the bronze YELA award, hold the Pony Club B test in horse care and the UKCC level 1 coaching assistant qualification.
