In the Southern region we have a Regional Committee of volunteers who help to run the region - meet the team that keep the south on the map!

Each committee member has their own area of expertise, the regional committee for Wales consists of representatives for the following areas:

Chairman - Sam Osborn
Sam was one of our original youth members when Dane Rawlins and Egon Von Greyez set it up a few years ago now! Sam has competed up to PSG and internationally as a Young Rider. Sam is passionate about training and working with young people and will be in her element putting together training days which will cover lots of different topics from Biomechanics to sports psychology.

Coaching Representative - Emma Butler
Emma lives in Hollingbourne in Kent with her husband Mark and son Rory, where they run a successful training and livery yard. Emma competed to Medium level with her own skewbald Irish mare, Ballingowan Lilly (CP to her friends), with whom she represented Team Southern at two Home Internationals and two Inter Regionals, being part of the winning Inter Regional Team in 2014. Emma successfully represented Southern region as Senior Rider Rep (Teams) for some years before kindly agreeing to move across to developing Coaching activities in the region and as a Judge and UKCC level 2 Emma is passionate about coaching development and CPD.
Senior Rider Representative - Emma Roche
Emma lives in Cranleigh in Surrey with her husband Sean and her three children. After leaving school Emma trained for her BHSAI with the late Jennifer Sewell at the TTT. Emma is currently competing three horses from Novice to Advanced. Emma has ridden at two Inter Regionals and four Home Internationals since 2015 on her own horse Escamillo.
Judges representative - Yvonne Huber
Yvonne is a BD judge, side saddle judge, BHSi.i.i and a ARBS trainer. She has competed in showing, side saddle and dressage for many years. As the Judges representative she is responsible for arranging judge training for all levels, plus arranges judges seminars and being there as a supporter of the judges in the Southern region.

Samantha Mabb
Sam is a list 4 judge and a dressage coach, currently undertaking her UKCC qualification, as well as pursuing a wide variety of equine interests and a keen competitor herself. Her training methods are very holistic looking at the horse and rider as a combination and how to get the best out of both to develop the partnership.
Caroline Gibson
Caroline runs the Dorking Feed Office for Mole Valley Feed Solutions supplying our South East farmers. She has ridden since the age of 9 and competes affiliated dressage up to Advanced on her own 14 year old gelding, Albion De Fantasia. She has represented Team Southern at two Inter Regionals and two Home Internationals. She also represented the North West at a Home International.
