Festival Focus - The Cabin Equestrian 21
The festival at The Cabin, Scotland (29 – 30 May) was one of the last opportunities for riders to secure their place the Petplan Equine Area Winter Championship at the end of the month.
Everyone pulled out all the stops to put their best tests forward and show the judges they deserve the last places at the Championships.

Cheeky Wee Red, a chestnut mare, who only stepped up to Inter I last year won the Bronze class with 63.68%, also took another win with 65.66% in the Bronze Prix St George. Alice Pullem, has competed her for 6 years, after previously coming to her from the racetrack.
Winners of the Novice Bronze with one of the best scores of the weekend with 70.69%, Shelia Rodgers and Opposite Reflection will be returning to Hartpury a second time, after previously attending in the Prelim Bronze last year. Known as Charles at home, the beautiful Appaloosa gelding has also competed in British Eventing up to BE90.
The pair who only started competing with each other in 2019, Hilary Cowie and Shall We Dance II won the Elementary Bronze with 70.59%. The 14.2, chestnut mare They have had a very successful few years winning almost every class and competition to now gain their well-deserved place at the Championships.
