What to expect inside the white boards and beyond at the 2023 LeMieux National Dressage Championships

Enjoy the best display of dressage in the UK! There's action in three arenas over all four days, featuring over 700 combinations, so there’ll be plenty of dressage competition to choose from. Current and future top dressage riders will be competing for the coveted title of National Champion, the popular KBIS Young Horse classes will showcase up and coming talent, Prelim Silver showcases the best of the country's grassroots sport alongside many more levels and classes.

Emma Blundell and Amy Woodhead
Thursday and Friday
Emma Blundell and Amy Woodhead will explore the relationship between breeder and rider. Mount St John Stud are one of the country’s leading lights when it comes to championing British breeding, and owner Emma Blundell has dedicated her career, passion, and drive into building a business that has contributed much to the sector, with pioneering technology and a host of homebred stars.
Richard Davison
Saturday
Four-time Olympian Richard has been a key member of the team across three decades, competing in Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000, Beijing 2008 and London 2012, as well as multiple European and World Championships, most recently with his Grand Prix partner Bubblingh as part of the bronze medal winning team in Herning last year.
Louise Bell
Sunday
Grand Prix rider and former showing superstar Louise Bell take a closer look at a young horse with a special connection to BD’s 25th anniversary celebrations. After enjoying a day of Young Horse competition, spectators can hear Louise talk through young horse training with ‘Peaky Blinder’ – her up and coming star, sired by none other than Carl Hester’s London 2012 hero Utopia.

And it doesn't just stop inside the arena! From the Nationals Shopping Village and Food Court, to the BD Fan Zone, there will be plenty to keep you busy in between the dressage competition. Enjoy your chance to socialise with friends and family in the beautiful Somerford Park setting, whilst watching world class dressage, meeting famous faces or treating yourself to some retail therapy.
