British Dressage Competitor Survey 2022 launched

We are pleased to invite members to take part in the 2022 British Dressage competitor survey. Your feedback will help us understand how we can improve and enhance the competition experience for members at all levels of the sport.

Following our previous survey in 2019, we know that taking part in affiliated competition is one of the most important aspects of being a BD member.  This year’s survey is therefore designed to give members the opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions on different elements of the competitor experience.

We want to know what you look for in a venue, how frequently you compete, how far you travel, what you enjoy about competing, any areas for improvement, and what else we could offer in the future.

Everyone with a paid membership, who has taken part in BD competitions in the last four years (since 1 January 2019), will receive a unique link to take part in the survey.  Emails will be sent from today, Wednesday 16 November, so please check your inbox and junk folders.

The survey will take approximately 25-30 minutes to complete and will remain open until midnight on Wednesday 14 December 2022.

As a thank you for your support, all members who complete the survey will receive a 10% discount code to spend with Horse Health, as well as free entry into a prize draw to win a luxury hamper of LeMieux gifts worth £500.

Please note that this survey will not include our non-competing members on this occasion.  Each of our other vitally important stakeholder groups, such as coaches, owners, and officials, will be receiving targeted surveys in the spring of next year instead.

We look forward to receiving your feedback, which will be invaluable in helping us to shape the future strategy and direction of the sport we all love.  We'll be sharing some of the key findings with our members in the first quarter of 2023 once the data has been collated and evaluated.
