Para international
A golden history: The British para dressage legend continues!

Dressage competitions for riders with disabilities started in Scandinavia and Britain in the 1970s with the first dressage world championship held in Sweden in 1987, and para-equestrian dressage riders first took part in the Paralympic Games in 1996. From 2006, para-equestrian dressage became part of the FEI (Fédération Equestre Internationale), making it an officially recognised international equestrian sport.
Equestrian Team GBR’s Para Dressage teams have been beaten only a handful of times in recent history, as prolific medal winners, including Sir Lee Pearson, Sophie Christiansen, Sophie Wells and Natasha Baker, became household names. With a new era of para dressage riders making waves on the international scene, the team is looking stronger than ever as old and new stars unite.
With Paris 2024 the next Paralympic aim follow the para riders' progress on their way to France.
