The BD Board has now agreed and released a process for owners of horses who experience severe reactions to their equine influenza vaccinations to apply for dispensation for the requirement of a six monthly booster.

As part of two inspirational days of training at the 2019 BD National Convention supported by Harrison Clark Rickerbys (23 – 24 November) a number of this year’s top performing riders and successful individuals in the sport were presented with trophies and awards to mark their achievements.

British Junior rider Jessica McConkey delivered an Individual Test PB at last week’s Aachen CDIYJP in Germany (28 November – 1 December 2019).  

The final High Profile Show of 2019 gets underway this week at Keysoe EC (5 – 8 December 2019) with many of the UK’s top riders heading to the Bedfordshire venue. Classes at all levels up to Grand Prix and FEI tests for Pony riders and Children on Horses, plus the 2019 Small Tour Championships, have attracted a wealth of talented competitors.  

Richard Davison was well placed in the fourth leg of the FEI Dressage World Cup™ Western European league 2019/2020 at IFEMA Madrid Horse Week last week (28 November – 1 December 2019).  

British Dressage and title sponsor Petplan Equine are delighted to announce Lincolnshire venue Arena UK as the first ever host of the Summer Area Festival Championships over 10 – 13 September. The new two-season Petplan Equine Area Festival series was announced earlier this autumn following a calendar review and feedback from BD members’ survey, and the Summer Area Festival dates have been released.

One of the projects at BDHQ this year has been a review of our eight regions. Their geography, the number of affiliated venues included within boundaries and the member levels residing in each region have all been evaluated in detail.
