BD North & East Regional Chair Opportunity

British Dressage is pleased to announce an exciting opportunity for a new member to take the reins as Regional Chair in the North & East. 
This key voluntary role provides inspiring leadership at regional level, supporting the delivery and development of all British Dressage activity. The Regional Chair plays a vital part in shaping regional participation, ensuring members are well supported in their dressage journey.
The Chair leads the Regional Committee and works closely with the region's Development Officer to deliver high-quality activity across the region. This includes ensuring members have access to well-organised competitions, training opportunities and community events for Senior, Para and Youth riders, as well as education and development activity for coaches, officials and members. The role also ensures that the views and needs of members are effectively represented at a national level.
Acting as ambassadors for British Dressage, the Regional Chair and Regional Representatives provide valuable feedback to the Board and Technical Committees, helping to inform future decision-making. Agreed policies are then implemented at regional level, with the Chair playing a central role in coordinating activity alongside the DO and reps, supporting collaborative working across all technical areas.
This position is appointed by the Board and reports to the BD Regional and Volunteer Manager, Holly Hart.
