From Monday 9 to Sunday 15 February, we’re proud to be supporting National Apprenticeship Week, shining a light on the benefits for employers and learners, and celebrating those who make apprenticeships thrive.
From apprentices and employers to training providers, parents, schools, colleges, universities, assessment organisations, and ambassadors — we’re joining National Apprenticeship Week and shining a spotlight on the incredible contributions that drive skills, success, and opportunity across the industry.
Apprenticeships offer a practical route into a career by combining paid work with structured training, allowing individuals to earn while they learn and gain real-world experience from day one. They help develop industry-specific skills, build confidence, and improve long-term employability, while also providing recognised qualifications. For employers, apprenticeships support workforce development, improve retention, and help grow skilled, motivated professionals who understand the organisation and its values.
British Dressage is proud to offer apprenticeship opportunities nationwide, with three providers: Sport Structures in England, the Scottish Racing Academy in Scotland and Coleg Cambria in Wales.
Whilst the equestrian-focused qualifications are curated with dressage at their core, the opportunities are open to any with an interest in horse care and sport meeting the goal of an accessible route into the industry, fulfilling the need for improved access for riders from all backgrounds.
From equine groom roles to business administration and digital marketing, there’s something for everyone. Throughout National Apprenticeship Week, we’ll be introducing our courses, current apprentices and showing members how to take the first step.
