Exciting new opportunity to join British Dressage

With the championship season in full motion and the next Olympic cycle progressing at pace, there has never been a more exciting time to join British Dressage. We are currently recruiting a Development Officer in the North & East Region, offering an exciting chance to become part of the BD Region network. 
Following 15 years of international success, British Dressage continues to thrive, with over 18,000 members taking part in more than 2,000 days of affiliated dressage competition every year. We are currently looking to appoint a Development Officer (North & East), who will be responsible for overseeing our competition and training throughout the North & East, promoting and developing British Dressage in the region.
The Development Officer will work closely with our head office, reporting to the Regional and Volunteer Manager and work under the guidance of the Regional Committee, which includes a Chairperson and voluntary representatives for specific technical areas. You will be representing British Dressage, often the first point of contact for their region and lead delivery of membership, co-ordinating and organising activity in the region and consult with BD venues and organisers.
The role is home-based, preferably located within the region. Candidates will be required to have a full driving license and have access to their own car for travel. This busy and varied position requires a flexible approach to working, with evening and weekend work an essential aspect of the role, including occasional overnight stays away from home.
