Grand Prix win for Goode at CDI Deauville

Tom Goode continued a successful season with Furstenrausch PS, riding to a win at CDI Deauville in France (10 - 13 July 2025). 
Two British riders headed to Deauville to contest the CDI 3* competition at the venue in the North of France, with Oxfordshire's Tom Goode continuing to build on a good season of form with Richard Jackson’s Fürstenrausch PS. The talented 10-year-old gelding sired by Fürstenball achieved promising results at the competitive CHIO Rotterdam last month, and followed that up with a win in Deauville, topping a large Grand Prix class with 70.739%. The pair went on to achieve another strong score of 69.809% in the Grand Prix Special, narrowly missing out on a duo of wins to Spain's Teia Hernandez Vila and Romero de Trujillo.
Tom's boss, coach and mentor Emile Faurie took to Facebook to review the show, commenting: "Unbelievably proud, Freddie just won the CDI GP in Deauville with 70.7%. Massive thank you to owner Richard Jackson and top groom Tom Watson. How lucky to have such a great support team including everyone at home who allow us the luxury of doing these shows abroad. We are over the moon with this incredibly special horse."
Sophia Longworth travelled overseas with Don De Luxe to gain mileage in the Pony FEI tests; the pair achieved a high score of 69.175% in the Pony Freestyle, enjoying exposure at a continental CDI.
