Moody magic at Myerscough Premier League

Becky Moody led the charge at Myerscough Premier League (11-15 March 2026) with a host of Small Tour victories as the show proved busy for Brits aiming for international qualification and LeMieux Nationals tickets.

Across a packed schedule of competition, it was a standout show for Becky Moody, who proved unbeatable across the Small Tour ranks with a string of top scores and multiple victories. Moody dominated the D&H Intermediate I Gold classes aboard Magic Dream, posting an impressive 72.94% before bettering her own mark with a leading 73.23% later in the show. She also headed both Fairfax Prix St Georges Gold classes with Sieben Siegel SL (Secret x Sir Donnerhall), scoring two consistent marks of 70.24% and 70.83%. 

Moody’s winning streak extended into the Advanced Medium 6, where topped the class with Don Galahad on 69.72%, ahead of Greg Sims with First Dance T (68.43%) and Eilidh Grant with Lebora (68.06%), both combinations also enjoying strong shows across multiple classes. 

The Stuebben Intermediate II classes showcased depth of talent, with Gareth Hughes and Mowgli Olympia MC taking a convincing win on 72.50%; the pair earned their second win of the week in the high-quality LeMieux Grand Prix Gold with 70.83%. Sarah Higgins and new ride Gray Lambero were consistently in the placings, finishing second in both classes, while youth team graduate Isobel Lickley secured a podium finish with Katniss. In Friday’s Intermediate II Gold, Greg Sims added another strong result to his tally, winning aboard Waverley Fellini on 67.89%. 

Freestyle competition brought exciting performances, with Mark Walters and RFW Fatal Attraction leading the Prix St Georges Freestyle Gold on 68.83% in a closely fought class where the top three were separated by less than half a percent. Whilst Anna Wilson delivered one of the highest freestyle scores of the show, winning the Intermediate I Freestyle Gold with Escojunio Ballante on 70.38%. 

Matt Frost proved dominant in the Grand Prix Freestyle Gold, filling both first and second places in the Grand Prix Freestyle Gold with Helga and Kerouac respectively. 

The Youth classes were hotly contested with plenty of returning and new combinations stepping into the limelight. Demi Howard-Cartwright and Newton Astro Nascente were a combination to watch; they claimed victory in the Young Rider Team test on 70.34%, whilst also finishing second in the Prix St Georges Gold, showing impressive consistency. Emma Van Damme and the Apache-sired Maykel topped the Young Rider Individual with 70.83%, while Francesca Cawley delivered consistent performances for placings across both team and individual tests with Dame Blanche. 

In the Children on Horses division, Sebastian Houlston and Full Fusion BS dominated, winning both team (75.35%) and individual (71.99%) competitions with commanding scores. Sebastian has recently taken over the reins of the lovely schoolmistress ‘Florence’ from Charlotte Lutener, after the combination achieved a U25 team bronze medal together at the European Championships in 2025.  

The Pony classes saw strong competition, with Amelia Dovey and Derano B taking the Pony Team class, whilst Ever Sinfield Day turned the tables in the Individual, winning aboard Broomwich Wizard on 70.45%. Georgie Morgan was another consistent performer, finishing on the podium in both sections. 

Junior riders delivered polished performances throughout, with more family success for the Dovey sisters as Ella-Grace lead the way. She claimed victory in the Junior Team test with Escomond (70.05%) and went on to top the Junior Individual with Creto on 70.15%, also placing third with Leslie Forlee’s Boccelli 6.
