Preview: Summer Area Festival Championships 2025

From 1 to 5 October 2025, the PetplanSummer Area Festival Championships returns to Arena UK in Lincolnshire where competitors will go head-to-head to secure the prestigious standard and freestyle titles.
What to expect
We’re getting ready to welcome combinations to the Petplan Summer Area Festival Championships, hosted by Arena UK in Lincolnshire as the summer season comes to a thrilling conclusion. With Bronze and Silver riders taking to classes from Prelim to Intermediate I, it’s set to be top-drawer week as the country’s best combinations come together.
Music Freestyle classes start on Wednesday 1 October and run throughout the whole week. Last year’s highest scoring freestyle music combination was Honor Casely and Lafforcry, a nine-year-old gelding owned by Shona Casely. They scored an impressive 73.519% in Saturday’s Freestyle Music Novice Bronze class. Stay tuned for the latest news as we look forward to meeting this year’s top scorers across the levels!
Alongside the Area Festival action, audiences can enjoy an evening of super entertainment as the Middle Tour Championships, supported by Sue Carson Saddles, take centre stage for the gala evening. All are welcome to come along and watch some super riders and horses compete for the Middle Tour Championship titles. The Middle Tour classes take place from 4.10pm to 8.00pm in the Indoor Arena on Saturday evening.
