Preview: Wellington International Festival of Dressage

The stage is set for the 2025 Wellington International Festival of Dressage (3–11 June 2025), which will host nine days of top-level Premier League, CDI and Para Dressage action.
Set at the iconic Hampshire venue, dressage fans can look forward to Premier League classes, Young Horse qualifiers, CDI and CPEDI action, all taking place under one roof as riders compete for team selection and LeMieux National Championships qualification places.
The event opens with four days of Premier League competition (3–6 June), featuring some of the country’s most exciting combinations. Both rising stars and seasoned names will be chasing the top spots and qualification for the LeMieux Nationals, as well as the KBIS Young Horse Semi-Finals which are fast approaching.
CDI action begins on Thursday 5 June and welcomes a stellar line-up; Carl Hester and Fame are amongst the starters, alongside fellow Olympians Becky Moody and Laura Tomlinson, who brings forward both Issey and Full Moon II. Sadie Smith (Swanmore Dantina), Gareth Hughes (Lufada MVL) and Richard Davison (Intero) also add to a strong field, alongside a host of exciting horse and rider combinations to watch.
With the FEI European Championships fast approaching, young British riders will be looking to impress selectors across the Under 25, Children on Horses, Pony, Junior and Young Rider divisions.
Whilst CPEDI classes will deliver three days of exciting Para Dressage. Among the combinations set to compete are Suzanna Hext with Inferno, Georgia Wilson with Faside Got The Love and Alice Begg with both Kiolita and Nalique – just to name a few.

Whether you’re ringside or watching from home, the Wellington International Festival of Dressage promises an unforgettable week of elite equestrian sport.
Gala Evening
The much-anticipated Wellington Gala Evening, sponsored by Nirvana Spa and held on the final day of the Premier League fixture (6 June), promises once again to be a highlight.
Featuring the Prix St Georges Freestyle to Music, the event will showcase some of the country’s top combinations. The evening also includes a demonstration by Anna Ross of Elite Dressage, a Stallion Parade, and a display by the 3* European Cup eventing Team.
Seated tickets are £22.50 and standing tickets are £12.50, with the evening running from 7pm to 9pm.
Free international dressage viewing experience
On Saturday 7 June, 11am - 5pm, Wellington Riding is offering a free opportunity to enjoy top-class Grand Prix dressage and Dressage to Music. Spectators can watch from a dedicated marquee where light drinks and refreshments are available to purchase.
