In stunning Surrey countryside, some top performances saw the Summer Regional titles and LeMieux Nationals tickets up for grabs go to deserving winners at Parwood Equestrian Centre (18 – 20 July 2025).

Dannie Morgan took the Regional Championships at Parwood EC by storm, claiming three titles with three outstanding scores. Rose McMillan’s seven-year-old Fürst Lady III was clear of the field in the BETTALIFE Novice Gold, scoring 73.820% to win by a margin of three percent. Kirstie Clarke’s KWPN gelding Nureno (Blue Hors Farrell x Johnson) was star of the show in the TopSpec Medium Gold, rewarded with a winning total of 74.350%. Whilst Dannie’s Winter Championship superstar mares took the first two podium places in the HorseQuest Elementary Gold; Dannie Morgan and Kristina Rausing’s Fidertanz-sired Freya VII earned first place with 74.040%, whilst Kristina’s fellow six-year-old Verity III (Vitalis x Sir Donnerhall) claimed second with 73.690%

On Saturday, still with one win to come, Dannie commented: “So proud of the girls today - absolutely love training them both. Freya was a superstar to win the Elementary regional with +74% and Betty finished 2nd on 73.6%. Both mares gave me super rides. Congratulations also to Lauren Burrows who won the Elementary Silver Regional. Such a brilliant achievement and it’s great to watch the skill and harmony you present in the arena with Kizzy. Very proud!”

Dannie’s protege Lauren Burrows was on form herself at Parwood, building on her Winter Championship winning form to claim two Summer Regional titles. With her own six-year-old British-bred High Hoes Esquisse (Escalito x Loudabilis), Lauren took home the BETTALIFE Novice Silver titles with 74.030%, and the HorseQuest Elementary Silver with an equally strong score of 72.930%.

The ever-consistent Sadie Smith collected a win in The Centre Line Prelim Gold with Peter Belshaw’s exciting four-year-old Times Rococo. The black Dutch-bred gelding impressed James Rooney, Susie Cumine and Jenny Welham to win a seriously competitive class with 75.070%. It’s worth noting that half of the field scored over 70%, with some eye-catching young horses in action.

Local lady Alice Oppenheimer teamed up with former title winner Headmore Footloose to top the Bret Willson International Advanced Medium Gold with 71.760%. Speaking on social media, Alice reviewed a super performance: “Julie Campling’s Eric is just the ultimate pro between the boards and makes my job easy. He has the biggest heart and cruised round to win the Advanced Medium Gold with 71.7%. We just went for a nice ride round and to enjoy ourselves. Eric is always so happy to work and really gives his all which makes it an absolute pleasure. What a dude!”

Emily Ivins’ stallion Totillah showed two confident performances at Small Tour level, with Jezz Palmer riding to 69.120% for first place in the Fairfax Saddles Prix St Georges Gold, whilst also placing second in the Saracen Horse Feeds Intermediate I with 70%.

Fresh from success in Deauville, Tom Goode presented Lady Caroline Rake’s Morricone daughted Margot with great skill to win the Saracen Horse Feeds Inter I title with 70.100%.

In the Silver Small Tour classes, former Winter title winner Evelina Shrieve took a duo of victories on board her own Insist TC (Apache x Gribaldi); her highest score came in the Saracen Horse Feeds Inter I Silver, with a fantastic 70.590%.

Congratulations to all riders who earned tickets to the LeMieux National Championships, as well as everyone who took part. Thanks go to the team at Parwood EC for three top days of Regional Championship competition.
