Two Directors re-appointed to British Dressage Board

Following this year’s Director elections, British Dressage is delighted to confirm that Tracy Ormrod and Harry Payne have been re-appointed to the BD Board in their respective roles as Para Director and Training Director. 

In line with the British Dressage Articles of Association, the positions of Para Director and Training Director were put forward to the membership for election this year.

After a formal review of applications by the Nominations Committee, both Tracy Ormrod and Harry Payne were the sole candidates put forward to the membership vote for these two roles, with an electronic ballot carried out independently by Mi-Voice. 

Tracy received 1,008 votes (96.7% of those cast) and has been duly re-elected as Para Director for her second term in the role. Harry received 1,074 votes (95.9% of those cast) and has been duly re-elected as Training Director, also beginning his second term on the BD Board.

Both appointments will formally take effect from the date of the 2025 Annual General Meeting, on Thursday 9 October 2025. Both Directors will be in position for four years, until 2029.

Tracy Ormrod, Para Director, commented: "I am really excited and also grateful to the members for electing me for another term as Para Director. I'm looking forward to continuing the work that I have already started along with the BD team; it's particularly important to me that Para athletes feel supported and included within every aspect of the British Dressage community."

Harry Payne, Training Director, commented: "I'm excited to be able to continue in my role as Training Director for another term and look forward to being able to continue working with the whole team to ensure that training and education remain central to shaping BD’s future. Through this, I hope we can continue driving initiatives that motivate and inspire our members to achieve the very best — for themselves and for their horses.”

Members are encouraged to take the opportunity to speak to Tracy Ormrod and Harry Payne at the LeMieux National Dressage Championships this week, to ask any questions you may have. Tracy will be in attendance on Thursday 11 September, whilst Harry will be visiting the show on Sunday 14 September.
