British Dressage offers a host of opportunity and benefits for all, from those with championship ambitions to supporters and non-riding members looking for new goals. Here's what you can expect from us in 2026.

Competition

With over 150 venues, there's ample opportunity to get out and about, experience competing and test your skills. Competition is a great way to measure your progress, and our qualified judges are expertly trained in delivering you with helpful feedback to support your dressage journey.

At British Dressage, for those who want a shot at title glory, there's truly a championship opportunity for everyone. From team competition at Quest and in the BD Regions, to Area Festivals, Regionals and the famous National Championships, there's a championship chance at every level from Introductory to Grand Prix.

New for 2026, we've made rule changes to make championship competition even more accessible. Our two flagship pathways, the Area Festivals and the Regionals, now have aligned structure - this means a less complicated, scores-based system, regardless of your end goal. Qualification percentages are also lower, in line with trends and scores being attained under the new test structure.

Training

Training equals dressage! We love providing our members with opportunities to improve and learn. Our coaches network gives you access to trainers who've worked hard to gain qualifications to best support you and your horse. Our regions are also the key to great quality local training; from clinics and camps, to flexi-training and test riding with judges, there's loads to experience in a low-key, friendly and encouraging environment.

Member benefits

We're constantly striving to expand the value of what you get for your membership, and our group of partners is always growing! Considering your money-saving perks, members receive exclusive discounts on products and services from partner brands, such as reduced pricing on Horse & Country+ live-streaming subscriptions to follow dressage coverage, and 10% off classifieds advertising and a free upgrade with HorseQuest. You also get discounted access to selected events like Royal Windsor and the London International Horse Show, as well as exclusive member pricing on specialist services such as environmental land management from ADAS Equine. There are further savings available through partners like KASK with a 20% discount on quality riding helmets, PRP Rescue Services offering reduced horsebox/trailer breakdown cover, and discounts on tech like the Pivo tracking device for filming your rides. Additionally, everyday savings extend beyond equestrian-specific items with discounts on homeware from Swan & Tower – all designed to add value to your membership outside of competing and formal training.

We're also proud of the services offered through our valued partnership with KBIS Equestrian Insurance, who ensure you're covered, wherever and whenever you're riding. This includes providing personal public liability insurance (up to £30 million) and personal accident cover for a wide range of horse-related activities, not just competing or training. Members also benefit from 10% off additional KBIS insurance products, such as horsebox, liability and property cover, offering added peace of mind and financial value beyond the arena.

Whatever your goals, there's a place for you with British Dressage.
