Under 21 International Squad
Ahead of the test riding days for the 2019/20 season and the finalised 2020 Selection Policy, the selectors are outlining the requirements for qualification at all levels and stages of the season to facilitate U21 riders and their plans.
A number of test riding days are run throughout the year, offering riders the opportunity to work towards international selection.
Following the first test riding day for 2019/20 season selection, the selectors have outlined the initial intake to the Under 21 International Squad. The selectors reserve the right to add or remove riders depending on performance throughout the competition season.
Progress charts to log your competition results should be sent on a regular basis to Sharon Weir at the BD office. Progress charts can be downloaded here.

Selectors and support staff
The U21 selectors are Nikki Herbert and Leanne Wall - they're responsible for deciding who goes to which international competition, and ultimately the FEI European Championships.
Paul Fielder oversees progression from a coaching perspective for Children on Horses, Juniors and Young Riders; and Clive Halsall is the current Pony team trainer.
There are two Chefs d'Equipe responsible for ensuring your international competitions are a positive experience! Caroline Bell looks after Ponies, whilst Nina Boex takes the lead for Children on Horses, Juniors and Young Riders. If you've got any questions about what to expect, you can ask our Chefs d'Equipe and they'll offer their support!
At BDHQ, Youth International Officer Sharon Weir takes care of your international entries and national training/selection days. If you're interested in competing internationally please get in touch with Sharon to register your interest.
Premier League Shows
All Premier League shows hold FEI Team Tests for Ponies, Juniors and Young Riders. These will be part of the Selection process and some may be compulsory for riders competing at FEI Team Test level and wishing to be considered for international competitions and European Teams
