South & East Regional Committee
Based in Essex, Lotte is a Chartered Accountant in the day job and amateur rider for some 30 years including BD to Advanced Medium. She is a List 3A judge and working towards upgrade. Lotte enjoys supporting and participating in regional and national BD activities as well as attending international shows whenever possible.
Having ridden since childhood, Katie turned to dressage in recent years and is competing at Elementary level with her horse of a lifetime. She loves being part of our fantastic region and tries to get out for training days and camps as much as possible, alongside juggling her own PR and marketing business. Katie can usually be found taking photos for the social media pages and is one of the first on the dance floor when everyone is celebrating together!
Caroline lives in Surrey and has ridden up to Advanced level. She has ridden on the senior teams at inter regionals and home internationals.
Tracy is based in Essex and has coached and ridden competitively up to Inter 1 for over 25 years. Holding both her UKCC 2 & 3, BHSAI and ABRS ATD. If she’s not doing any of the above she can be found shooting, singing show tunes or encouraging everyone to eat cheesy balls!
Emma lives in Hollingbourne in Kent with her husband Mark and son Rory, where they run a successful training and livery yard. Emma competed to Medium level with her own skewbald Irish mare, Ballingowan Lilly (CP to her friends), with whom she represented Team Southern at two Home Internationals and two Inter Regionals. Emma was Southern region Senior Rider Rep and is now Coaching Rep. She is a Judge and UKCC level 2 and is passionate about coaching development and CPD.
Having been involved in BD for 20 years as a rider, Mum and Judge, Pip prides herself on developing something for everyone and takes pleasure in supporting riders through the levels to gain life skills. Welcome to our region and we look forward to the journey!
Having been through the BD youth system herself, Jess can relate to riders and help them start their journey with BD Youth. She is passionate that the children (and ponies!) enjoy themselves whilst learning about all aspects of equestrianism. Jess will always greet you with a smile and welcome you to the family! She is a very bubbly and enthusiastic person who, you will find out in time, loves everything to do with Disney!
Yvonne is a BD judge, side saddle judge, BHSI and an ARBS trainer. She has competed in showing, side saddle and dressage for many years. As the Judges representative she is responsible for arranging judge training for all levels, plus arranges judges seminars and being there as a supporter of the judges in the region.
Based near Ipswich in Suffolk, Jane is a list 2 BD judge, and an active BD competitor with horses from Novice to Inter1 level. She started her judging journey to see what she could learn from the view at C - and is now as equally passionate about both, and enjoys helping others along their own judging journey.
Sam is a lawyer by profession and started riding as a hobby in 2007, purchasing her first horse, Jim Murphy a few years later and becoming a member of British Dressage in 2015, attending camps and riding on Senior Inter Regionals teams
Sam loves being involved in the behind the scenes running of dressage shows and was awarded the Eastern Supporter of the Year award in 2019. She loves everything to do with British Dressage and is very much looking forward to giving something back to the sport.
Nic works as a Commercial Manager for Speedgate Enterprises Ltd looking after Purchasing, Marketing and Human Resources. She lives in Fawkham in Kent with her husband and two Wirehaired Dachshunds who are keen South and East mascots! Nic has ridden since she was a child and has represented the Southern region at two Inter Regionals and one Home International. She is now excited to have a new young horse who she is looking forwards to bringing up through the levels.
Jo, a grade 5 Para rider herself helps support the other para riders in the region, ensuring they are aware of training and competition opportunities. She also offers guidance on classification process and works with some local RDA groups. Jo also sits on the Para Technical committee helping to develop the sport at BD HQ
Gemma is based in Buckingham so a former Central region member. She has been competing BD for around 5 years now and has owned current horse Bolli for 2 years. Gemma is currently competing at PSG and Inter 1 and looking forward to getting back to competing! Since owning him Gemma has had to upgrade her taste in bubbles from Prosecco to Bollinger - having a horse named after a delicious champagne is the perfect excuse to drink it!!
