British Dressage is delighted to announce a new U21 National Championships, to be held as part of the Vale View High Profile Show in October,29 – 31 October. All Under 21 riders will be eligible enter the Championship Class and contest to be the U21 National Champion for their current FEI age group.

The original winner of the Petplan Equine Preliminary Silver Area Festival Championship has been retrospectively disqualified, therefore the 2020 title has been awarded to Penny Graepel and her talented piebald performer, Amour Just Cruising with a score of 71.6%.

It was a huge day for the sport of dressage on 1 July 2020. Not only was it the first day affiliated competitions could resume under British Dressage, following three and a half month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but it also marked the start of the winter qualification period for thousands of competitors. For many, their winter qualifying campaign will be firmly focused on one major goal: the Petplan Equine Winter Area Festivals.

The home nations have all recently announced new laws that tighten up COVID-19 restrictions, with a reduction in the number of people who are permitted to meet socially.  British Dressage can confirm that this will not impact on the running of affiliated competitions and training in England, Scotland and Wales.

Para competition was back with a bang for the two days of the Equissage Pulse Summer Para Festival at Solihull over the Bank Holiday weekend.

After a long wait for members in Scotland there was finally some good news this week, with confirmation that indoor equestrian arenas can once again be used for competition purposes, in accordance with government restrictions.
