Masterclasses

Enjoy masterclasses every day at the National Dressage Championships. No matter which day you join us, there's a world class dressage expert to learn from with live demonstration and discussion in arena one in front of the free covered grandstand and Nationals Pavilion.

Emma Blundell and Amy Woodhead | Thursday and Friday

Thursday and Friday will be headlined by Emma Blundell and Amy Woodhead as we explore the relationship between breeder and rider. Mount St John Stud are one of the country’s leading lights when it comes to championing British breeding, and owner Emma Blundell has dedicated her career, passion, and drive into building a business that has contributed much to the sector, with pioneering technology and a host of homebred stars.

Richard Davison | Saturday

Four-time Olympian Richard has been a key member of the team across three decades, competing in Atlanta 1996, Sydney 2000, Beijing 2008 and London 2012, as well as multiple European and World Championships, most recently with his Grand Prix partner Bubblingh as part of the bronze medal winning team in Herning last year.

Louise Bell | Sunday

Grand Prix rider and former showing superstar Louise Bell take a closer look at a young horse with a special connection to BD’s 25th anniversary celebrations.  After enjoying a day of Young Horse competition, spectators can hear Louise talk through young horse training with ‘Peaky Blinder’ – her up and coming star, sired by none other than Carl Hester’s London 2012 hero Utopia.
