Be Kind Month

On the first day of the NAF Five Star Winter Championships, it’s the perfect timing to launch our ‘Be Kind Month’, running from 16 April to 18 May 2025.
Supporting each other is key to the success and enjoyment of any sport, so join us in championing kindness and goodwill throughout the campaign whenever you participate in British Dressage activity.
Join our mission to spread positivity
From 16 April to 18 May, we’re celebrating Be Kind Month, to encourage all members to be there for one another, win, lose or draw. We’re hoping that by focusing on this positive campaign for just a few weeks, we’ll inspire members to carry this energy into your training and competition activity with BD all year round. Let’s all try to treat each other in the very best way, whether that’s our human or equine companions.
From personal member accounts to expert professional advice, you’ll see and hear a lot more on this subject on all BD media feeds over the next month. This will include relatable rider tales, stories from officials on how they try to support one another, and inspiring examples of how we can better care for those around us, alongside educational content brought to you by qualified experts in the field.
Mental health is inextricably linked to kindness, with proven psychological and physiological benefits, so we’ll also be sharing best practice to promote good mental health and well-being, with the support of Riders Minds. We all need help to deal with the stresses, pressures and anxieties of everyday life from time to time, as well as those moments when we may struggle with low self-esteem and confidence, so we will bring you some high-quality advice on these vitally important topics over the next few weeks.
This campaign will run from the NAF Five Star Winter Championships to the end of Mental Health Awareness Week on Saturday 18 May. We’ll be taking part in several Mental Health Awareness Week initiatives and will share these with you closer to the time, offering a great chance to get more involved and help us raise awareness.
