Nicola Naylor and Jemima Green flew the British flag with pride, posting personal bests and podium finishes at the very first CPEDI hosted at Aachen, Germany (9 – 12 April 2026).
Riding in their first international of the season, Hampshire-based Jemima Green achieved three personal best scores aboard her eight-year-old gelding, Fantabulous. Jemima achieved second place three times, posting three fantastic scores across the three days in front of judges Mashca Reijs (NED), Marco Orsini (GER), Marc Urban (BEL) and Anne Prain (FRA). Jemima came away with a score of 75.230% in the FEI Grade II Para Grand Prix Test A, 74.722% in the Test B and a smashing freestyle score of 77.445%. When reflecting on their incredible experience, Jemima took to Facebook to share the experience: “My gorgeous Fanta was such a super boy and gave me such wonderful rides being placed second every day and achieving 3 PB scores. We couldn’t have asked for a better confidence giving show”.
Kent-based Nicola Naylor achieved fourth place and two third-place finishes, with her scores creeping up as the days went on. Co-owned with Rosalind Emery-Kay and known as Humberto at home, Nicola and the 14 year old gelding danced their way to 73.102% in the FEI Grade IV Para Grand Prix test A, 73.108% in the B test and 75.283% in the freestyle. Reflecting on the experience, Nicola stated: “Beyond all else, I have always wanted to compete at Aachen as it is one of the world’s best equestrian show grounds. So being selected for Aachen CPEDI meant a dream came true. Then, to be on the podium for two prize giving, was beyond dreams.”
“Aachen didn’t disappoint and Humberto was on super form. It was a test event and for us a selection event for the World Games. As such, the prize givings were celebrated with horse drawn carriages and the organisation and stewarding was both excellent and friendly."
“It was our first international of the year, so we pushed a few boundaries, which produced some great work but also a couple of mistakes crept in. We still stayed consistently on plus 73% scores and held our own against some amazing and fierce competition in our grade. It was a great start to the season with room to progress and peak in time for the Games.”
Congratulations to Nicola and Jemima on a fantastic start to the overseas season, flying the flag at a truly prestigious venue with great success.
