Nicola Naylor
2025 FEI European Para Dressage bronze medallist Nicola takes her own Moulin Rouge, who will be making her Championship debut at Aachen. The duo will be riding in the Grade IV competition.
Nicola Naylor (65) from Ashford, Kent, with her own Moulin Rouge (chestnut, mare, 9yrs, 16.2hh, Ferdinand x Dorado, breeder: P. Buwalda NED).
Currently ranked second in the FEI World Individual Rankings for Grade IV riders and ranked eighth in the overall rankings, Nicola is making her return to the international Championship stage this year. Joining former team mates Jemima Green and Mari Durward-Akhurst, Nicola was a part of the team who competed at the 2025 Ermelo FEI European Championships last summer, albeit on a different horse. Nicola has been competing in dressage since 2011, but made her international para debut in 2013 at the Bishop Burton CPEDI2*, where she came away with three second-place standings. Since then, Nicola has competed regularly around Europe and has been a firm favourite on the team, alongside competing and winning National titles in able-bodied dressage.
Nicola has been competing two horses throughout the season, Humbero L and Moulin Rouge, with the pair’s scores being consistently on par throughout the season. However, following their fabulous performance at the Wellington CPEDI3*, Moulin Rouge ultimately came out on top. This duo made their international debut in 2025 at the Addington CPEDI3*, where they achieved a hat-trick win to enter in style. Since then, their scores have seen a steady increase, posting a personal best in the Grand Prix Freestyle and B competition with 79.450% and 75.225% at the 2025 October Wellington CPEDI. This year, however, the duo generated a new personal best in the Grand Prix A at CPEDI3* at Waregem in April, where they scored 73.889%.
