Youth membership
If you're under 16 and thinking of becoming a member of British Dressage, you're in the right place! We offer a discounted membership for all under 16s on some of our most popular membership types.
- Regional training to help you progress and improve your dressage skills
- Youth squads
- Competitions such as Area Festivals and Quest, which include separate under 21 sections and titles
- BD Horse Care - designed to help young riders learn all of the fundamentals in caring for horses
Once you have been a member for a while, there is also the opportunity to get involved in our Academies and even aim for the very top levels of the sport by competing internationally in one of five FEI age categories!
Becoming a member
All under 16s qualify for a 20% discount on the membership types listed below. Your membership discount will automatically be applied when purchasing your membership. If you are under the age of 16 you will need to have a Parent, Guardian or Carer to set up and administer your account on your behalf. To do this, they simply need to register themselves as a Community Member - once they have registered they can then set up your BD membership through their account (making sure any horses are registered to your account and not the Parent/Guardian/Carer account).

Full (non-competing) annual membership
If you're not ready to go out competing yet, but you want to become a part of BD and access discounted regional training, third party public liability and personal accident insurance for all equestrian activities, the BD Magazine, exclusive event and product discounts, plus much more, then a Full (non-competing) membership is for you.
Club annual membership
Perfect for anyone starting out in dressage, our Club membership is aimed specifically at grassroots levels where you can compete in the following:
- Prelim Bronze qualifier classes
- My Quest and Team Quest - including the Championships
- Combined Training - including the Championships
- Music Championship qualifiers
With a Club Membership you also get third party public liability and personal accident insurance for all equestrian activities, provided by KBIS, access to discounted regional training, access to regional teams, exclusive member discounts, monthly member news and much more!
