Summary of last meeting
11.08.2025
"In the Youth Panel's most recent meeting we spent time reviewing feedback from this summer’s youth team competitions: Inter Regionals and Home Nations.
One point of feedback discussed was levels of participation across different regions, we then reviewed ways to increase participation where a potential demand for higher level classes for those not in the correct age category for FEI classes was revealed. In next years Youth Team competitions the Panel are keen to help organise social activities and take on a greater role in preparations leading up to the events.
Since our last meeting the Panel have been gathering survey feedback which has been given to BD Youth to be reviewed. The survey provided insight into what positively and negatively influences team competition participation and what youth members would like to see more of.
Lastly, the Panel reviewed the first year of the Youth Panel and considered how we can be more involved with BD activities. We hope to introduce more opportunities for members to help at BD events, trade stands and actively engage more with the BD Youth community."
