Back for 2026, this week we are heading to the All England Jumping Course at Hickstead for the Chart Stables International Dressage Festival (11 – 17 May). It is the second domestic international fixture of the year, showcasing top senior, para and youth combinations as we return to the iconic West Sussex venue.

Competing at the iconic Allianz Park at the CHIO Aachen Showgrounds, CDI Aachen (4 – 6 May) delivered outstanding success to our British riders competing in the CDI3*, U25 and Young Rider classes.

Emerging British youth combinations stepped confidently onto the international stage last week, gaining valuable experience and delivering encouraging performances at CDI Exloo, Netherlands (29 April – 3 May) and CDI Alter do Chão, Portugal (1 – 3 May). For our three riders, these fixtures marked key early-season outings and important milestones in newly formed partnerships.

We are looking forward to our next championship event of 2026, the Red Gorilla Combined Training Championships, held at Weston Lawns Equestrian (08 – 10 May).

Across three venues, riders delivered impressive performances in the recent Combined Training qualifiers, showcasing the strength and versatility of partnerships in both dressage and showjumping: From personal comebacks to full circle moments with homebred horses.

The Red Gorilla Combined Training series continued with success for exciting first-time combinations to inspiring returns after time away, with impressive performances in both the dressage and showjumping phases.

It was a truly exciting week as seven of our para riders ventured out to Waregem, Belgium for the CPEDI (24 – 26 April), with riders Lee Pearson, Georgia Wilson, Erin Orford and Sophie Wells making up the team that brought home the win from this World Cup Qualifier event.

With the Summer Area Festival season approaching, we are looking back on impressive victories and standout performances at this year’s Winter Area Festivals. Evie Hall and Karen Richardson reflected on the journeys that brought them to where they are today.

Following on from a busy week at the NAF Five Star Winter Championships, riders headed back to Addington for the premier league (24 – 26 April) on the quest to earn their qualification to the KBIS Young Horse and Pony Semi-Finals, and the LeMieux National Championships to be held at Somerford Park in August.
