Addington High Profile Show gets underway this week at Addington Equestrian in Buckinghamshire, 11 - 13 January 2019.

If you’re looking for a winter fix of dressage, then look no further. Under the new management of Chris Parker, the venue has benefited from exciting recent developments, including the installation of new surfaces, and Chris and his team are looking forward to welcoming competitors and spectators to the first big UK dressage fixture of 2019.

Addington High Profile is centrally located and typically attracts a high quality entry with many of our leading riders making a start to their 2019 campaigns. There’s plenty on offer for visitors to see, with classes from Medium to Grand Prix, two evening classes, FEI Pony tests and an afternoon of freestyles on Sunday.

In the Small Tour divisions are some exciting combinations including Charlotte Dujardin with Sarah Tyler-Evans’ River Rise Nisa. Charlotte and the gorgeous bay, an eight-year-old mare by Negro, go at 10.54 Friday in the Fairfax Saddles PSG and at 12.23 Saturday in the Saracen Horse Feeds Inter I. Charlotte also presents Emma Blundell’s Mount St John VIP (Vivaldi x Donnerhall) with whom she won the 2018 Equine Construction Advanced Medium Gold title at Stoneleigh. Eight-year-old Mount St John VIP (pictured), another mare Charlotte rates highly, goes at 13.43 in Friday’s Inter I and at 10.16 in Saturday’s PSG.

Further Small Tour combinations to watch include Jess Dunn with Jennifer Whittaker’s LG Alicante Valley, who made his international debut a winning one when claiming the PSG at the 2018 Hartpury CDI3*, and Tom Goode with Emile Faurie’s hot prospect Langley who so impressed at the National Convention.

The Grand Prix takes centre stage on Saturday evening from 16.55 to 21.30. The line-up features experienced international campaigners Vicky Thompson-Winfield and Dane Rawlins plus several up-and-coming young riders. These include Joanna Thurman-Baker and Ellie McCarthy, riders who have both represented Great Britain in the youth divisions at FEI European Championships.
