Brad Hill joins Gareth Hughes, Michael Eilberg and Isobel Wessels as part of the presenting team for BD Presents… Harmonious Progression with Rothera Bray.
Brad Hill is a Clinical Associate Professor at Nottingham Vet School and an equine vet with extensive experience in first-opinion practice. Throughout his clinical career, he has emphasised the importance of understanding equine behaviour to promote safehandling, effective training and improved horse welfare.
Brad has played a key role in embedding equine behaviour and learning theory within the Nottingham veterinary curriculum and is passionate about preparing the next generation of veterinary graduates for the demands of modern equine practice. He also works with British Equestrian, supporting the development and dissemination of best practice in horse behaviour, training and welfare. His research interests include equine behaviour and welfare, particularly the effects of weaning-related stress on the emotional health of young horses.
At BD Presents, Brad will join Gareth Hughes to explore how horses process information and communicate through behaviour, and how riders and coaches can use behavioural feedback to enhance performance while prioritising equine welfare. They’ll also highlight how timing, consistency and clear communication help build confident, trusting partnerships.
