The FEI World Rankings provide a global benchmark of performance in international dressage, tracking the consistency and success of horse-and-rider combinations across CDI competitions worldwide. Updated monthly, they offer a snapshot of the sport’s leading athletes and emerging talent, making them a key indicator of form on the international stage.

CDI 1*

Following their double win at Hickstead CDI in May, Dannie Morgan and Fever Tree shot up the FEI World Rankings; as a rider, Dannie has risen an incredible 50 places - from 50th place to take top spot. Similarly, Fever Tree, whom Dannie has produced since he was backed, is also ranked on top in the horse’s division. The combination has amassed countless national and regional titles, including winning the KBIS Young Horse Championships as a four-, five- and six-year-old and holding National titles at Novice, Elementary, Medium and Advanced Medium in both straight and Freestyle classes. The duo made their CDI1* debut earlier this year at the Spring Hartpury CDI, where they impressed judges to take the win in the Prix St Georges and Intermediate I and finished second in the Intermediate I Freestyle.

The rankings also celebrated the end of a glowing career of Gracie Catling’s ride Qwinton, known at home as Twix. Gracie announced the 18-year-old Quarterback bred gelding’s retirement on social media at the start of this month and has since found out that Twix is ranked 28th in the World Horse Ranking, having risen from 86th place. Gracie is now the second highest British rider, ranked 33rd, a move of 60 places from her previous rank of 93th. The combination has competed together for just over four years, amassing an incredible number of championship titles. In the 2026 season alone, the combination won two regional titles, three Winter Championship titles, one Premier League title and two top three CDI1* placings. On behalf of BDHQ, we would like to wish Twix the happiest of retirements.

Juniors

This British success continues into the World Youth Rankings, with Isla Sully topping the Junior leaderboard aboard her own Vagabond De Massa. The combination, who finished sixth individually at the Le Mans FEI European Championships last year and were a part of the bronze medal winning team, took a hat-trick win at the Hartpury Spring CDI back in May to boost them from second place in the Rankings to put them into the lead.

Para

British para riders have also delivered exceptional performances over the last few months, resulting in four of our para riders occupying places in the top ten, and an incredible 16 riders are in the top 100. Mari Durward-Akhurst has come in at fifth place, Nicola Naylor is sitting in seventh, Jemima Green in eighth, and Sir Lee Pearson in ninth.

Top 10 placings

In the 3*, Lottie Fry and Becky Moody currently both occupy spaces in the top ten, with Lottie ranking third and Becky in fifth. For U25 riders Lilah Gibbs and Harrison Ashton, the combination has climbed the leaderboard from 16 and 11 respectively to move into the top 10. Lilah Gibbs aboard Dude III is currently sitting in seventh place, and Harrison Ashton with Million Dreams is currently sitting in tenth.

Additionally, Children on Horses rider Stella McComb came in tenth with Dos Alamos. Stella, who is based in Gibraltar, has had a busy season campaigning across Europe, with the highlight being their win at CDI Alter do Chao in Portugal at the beginning of May.

Together, these achievements showcase these riders being at the forefront of international dressage, driven by a powerful combination of experience, partnership and rising stars. On behalf of everyone at BDHQ, we would like to extend huge congratulations to all the riders, owners and teams that support these horses and riders.
