Emile Faurie and his newest star have won both the Grand Prix for Special and the Grand Prix Special at Aachen CDI3* in Germany (16 – 18 April 2018).

Competing at only their third international competition together, Emile (54) and Dono Di Maggio (Dimaggio x Santander H) were the undisputed winners of both classes scoring 73.28% and 73.95% respectively.

Having had the disappointment of withdrawing Delatio from last week’s FEI World Cup™ Final after the stallion sustained a minor injury, a place was secured for the Emile and Dono Di Maggio in Aachen. Emile rates the Hof Kasselmann-owned 11-year-old highly, and it’s clear to see why.

In the iconic Deutsche Bank Stadium, the gelding displayed his obvious talent with wonderful highlights throughout particularly in piaffe and passage. In the Grand Prix a mistake in the one-tempis was costly but what potential this horse has!

“After the massive disappointment of having to withdraw Delatio from the World Cup finals came consolation with Hof Kasselmann’s Dono Di Maggio winning both the Grand Prix and the Special in Aachen today with 73.9%. This majestic horse was so amazing in only his third CDI! Thanks to both my English and German teams and my sponsors for all your support,” said Emile via Emile Faurie Facebook.
