Georgie delivered a balanced and fluent Freestyle to Music test with Jasper on Sunday to finish on a final score of 70.770%, leaving her in 14th position and completing the 2026 Pony campaign in style. In front of judges Kirsten Seogaard (E – DEN), Jannine Van Twist (H – NED), Sandrine Trimborn (C – FRA), Thomas Kessler (M – GER) and Mats Eriksson (B – SWE), Georgie was rewarded for her fantastic choreography and interpretation of the music, earning 7.5s and 8.0s across the board. For their rhythm and harmony, the pair were awarded with marks ranging from 6.8 up to 7.8 from the judges, who awarded the correctness and fantastic partnership that this duo demonstrated with such maturity throughout the competition.

From her bold entry, Georgie proceeded to deliver her canter work with ease and grace, which was consistently rewarded by the judges with 7.0s and 7.5s throughout the counter canter, simple changes, collected canter and extended canter. Throughout the trot work, Georgie remained rhythmical and correct, earning more 7.0s for her shoulder-in and half passes. Additionally, the duo earned 7.0s and 7.5s for the notoriously tricky half walk pirouettes. The music itself complemented Jasper’s lightness with flowing instrumental music, that fantastically framed key moments such as the simple changes and extended trot and canter.

This fantastic result for Georgie has completed her time on ponies and first European Championship experience with memories of a lifetime. Speaking after her test, Georgie explained that “I’m really pleased with how my Freestyle went. Qualifying through to the Freestyle was a huge goal of mine, so to achieve that at my first European Championships is something I’m incredibly proud of. I went into the competition motivated to give the best performance I could, and I’m really happy with how everything came together.

“Competing at my first European Championships has been an invaluable experience, and I’ve learned so much throughout the week. It’s been a fantastic opportunity to compete alongside such talented combinations, and I’ll take a great deal of confidence from it as I continue to build towards the future.”

On behalf of BDHQ, we would like to extend our congratulations to Georgie and her team, and to all of the British riders on their success this week. We would also like to thank the team Chef D’Equipe Tom Hobday and Performance Manager Nina Boex who have been out with all the riders across the last few weeks and throughout the Championships.
