FEI European Championships 2026: Pony Individual Results

British riders delivered a series of composed performances in today’s FEI European Championships Pony Individual competition, producing consistently competitive scores in a strong international field.

Georgie Morgan was our highest British scorer of the day, coming away with 67.568% and finishing in 20th position, qualifying her for the Freestyle competition tomorrow. Georgie’s test showed a huge amount of promise, with marks including 8.0’s for her first centre line, and marks from 7.0 to 8.0 throughout her canter work. This included 7.0s across the board for her canter serpentine and extended canter. Speaking after her test, Georgie commented that “Jasper felt very rideable today even though there was a lot of atmosphere. I got greedy in the first medium trot, but apart from that it was a clean test with loads of highlights. I am super excited to be through to the Music tomorrow and a huge well done to all my teammates who rode so well”.

Next up on the scoreboard is Ella Fraser, who finished on 66.784% in 23rd position. Ella posted an extremely strong test, but an unfortunate mistake in their medium canter and simple change proved extremely costly for their final score. Outside of that, Ella consistently scored 7.0s and 7.5s from the judges in both the trot and canter work, including scoring two 8.0s for her final halt. Reflecting on her test, Ella recounted that “Firstly, I think you go through so many emotions when competing; but to be competing at a European Championships… I don’t think I was prepared to feel so much, but at the same time I’m proud at how I dealt with this. Leo and I achieved our best work yet in the warmups and in the arena familiarisations, I feel we understand each other so much more which helps to keep us both relaxed. Watching other nations definitely opened my eyes and I feel I’ve taken a lot from that.

“In our first test we produced some of our best work, building on the consistency of his way of going showing good lateral work and extensions, I just need to learn to control the power. I was so proud to be part of the British team on the pony that has given me everything. We had an unfortunate mistake in our individual in a place that cost us to be marked down which was disappointing however we very quickly put it behind us and still produced good work. Despite this I have had a fantastic time made good friends learnt so much and want to come back again.”

Our third highest British scorer was Amelia Goodear, who finished on 66.054% in 28th. Amelia was another rider with lots of excellent moments in her test, especially through her canter work where she was scoring 7.0s across the board in the canter serpentine, simple changes and volte’s. When speaking about her test and her first experience at the European Championships, Amelia stated that “Fury tried really hard for me today during our test with highlights in our canter serpentine. We lacked a little impulsion throughout our trot work but overall, I was super pleased as our test improved as it went along.  I am so proud of Fury and how he has performed at our first European Championships.”

Sitting fractionally behind Amelia, Queenie Moule finished in 29th position with 66.027%. Queenie had a brilliant start to her test, scoring consistent 7.0s throughout, including a 7.5 for her shoulder in, rein-back and canter serpentine. Unfortunately, a mistake in the simple change was costly to their final score, however Queenie recovered with precision and poise to complete her test with some brilliant marks, including 7.5s and 8.0s for her final halt. Reflecting on her experience at the championships, Queenie expressed that “Leo gave me the best feeling today, we warmed up really well and the test felt super, however I made a costly rider mistake. This week he has really shown what a super cool pony he is”.

Huge well done to all the riders for their success, and we look forward to the Freestyle which starts at 09:30 BST on Sunday, where Georgie will be flying the British flag with pride.
