Popular with judges, trainers, riders and dressage fans alike, the National Judges Convention is back in the BD calendar!

This year the event takes place on Tuesday 9 April at premier Buckinghamshire venue, Addington Manor, with Judy Harvey, Clive Halsall and Isobel Wessels set to star as hosts.

Grand Prix rider, FEI 4* judge and trainer Judy Harvey FBHS brings a wealth of experience to the Convention. Throughout her career she’s enjoyed multiple championship wins and in 2005 won the British Horse Society award for training, awarded for her outstanding contribution to equestrianism. Judy also acts as BD International Teams Director alongside being a Senior Selector for the British teams.

FEI 5* judge Clive Halsall has ridden nationally to Grand Prix level, internationally at small tour level and has represented Great Britain at the FEI World Breeding Dressage Championships for Young Horses. In recent years, he has forged a highly successful judging career, a vocation which has taken him all across the world. Based in Lancashire, British Pony Team Trainer Clive also travels extensively to train and take clinics, alongside his busy judging schedule.

Having trained many horses to Grand Prix and won no less than ten national titles aboard star horse Chagall, Isobel Wessels is no stranger to success. Alongside riding, competing and training, Isobel has also achieved the status of FEI 5* Judge making her one of only four in Britain next to fellow host Clive, Stephen Clarke and Andrew Gardner. Within this role she judged at the 2017 Senior European Championships, multiple European Championships for U21s riders, World Cup qualifiers, Nations Cup competitions and this year the World Young Horse Championships.

Benefit from the expertise of three stand out personalities in dressage, tickets for the event are available for listed judges for £30, for trainee judges and all others they are £35. Please call 02476 698831 or click here to book online at any time to reserve your spot.

A full timetable for the Convention will be released on the BD website nearer to the event.
