The Iberian Dressage Masters (IDM) is the British organisation for the MCI, offering competitors with Iberian horses the opportunity to compete internationally against fellow Iberians at the annual European Championships. This year, for the first time ever, it is being held in Great Britain, at Bury Farm in Buckinghamshire (4 - 7 October).

Following the success of Britain’s representation at the MCI finals in Belgium in 2015 and Italy in 2016, in which Team MCI GB came away with a very creditable 4th place on both occasions, last year in France Team MCI GB achieved Team Silver. The British campaign has gradually strengthened in numbers and they are “going for Gold” this year!

Set up in June 2015, the IDM and MCI GB are gaining in popularity, with over 220 members and many qualifying venues throughout the UK. This year the British contingent has doubled, with a team of 50 riders and horses competing in classes ranging from Young Horse up to Grand Prix.

The MCI GB series of qualifying venues, and the success of the British team last year has helped to raise the profile of Iberian horses in British dressage. "We are enormously grateful to the MCI Europe for organising such an incredible event and providing the opportunity to compete with other riders and horses across Europe and we are delighted to host the Finals and look forward to welcoming the other European nations to England," says IDM Director Karen Bourdon. "Next year we will be organising our own MCI GB National show which will also include part-breds – dates to be announced shortly."

Spectator tickets at £5 per day will be available on the door. Come and support the British team and see the best Iberian horses in Europe competing at these Finals! For the full programme click here and to view the list of competitors representing Great Britain follow this link.
