British Dressage would like to announce that Laura Aitken, the Regional Development Officer for the Central Region, has left the organisation to explore new opportunities.

Laura has been part of our Regional Development Team for four years, during which time she has worked closely with her Regional Committee to develop dressage activity in the Central Region, forging close relationships with members and stakeholders, as well as representing the regions on the Judges’ Committee.

BD Chief Executive Jason Brautigam commented; “On behalf of all in BD, I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Laura for her contribution to British Dressage and wish her all the best for the future.

“I’m happy to say Mari O’Connor has agreed to step in as interim RDO for the Central Region on a contract until the end of 2019. She joins us today and will ensure the Central region is well supported over the coming months. Mari has been invaluable in covering the RDO position during stints working in Wales and more recently the North West, and with her in place, we’re able to ensure business as usual for the Central region over the busy summer period before looking to advertise for a permanent replacement in the autumn.”
