British Junior medal winning rider Isla Sully displayed top form, riding to two victories in the Albert Vahle Hall at Aachen Dressage Youngstars CDIY/J/P/Ch.

Isla Sully And Vagabond De Massa

Fifteen year old Isla Sully's breakthrough year has been one of dreams and her great form continued with a Christmas visit to the popular Aachen Dressage Youngstars event, taking place on 30 November – 03 December at the iconic venue.

In the Team test, Isla presented her mother Cassandra's 14 year old Lusitano gelding Vagabond de Massa to 10th place with 68.889% with just a handful of small mistakes keeping the score from hitting the high notes. Saturday's Individual test proved the duo's time to shine, as they rose to top the 17-strong quality field with 71.226% before going on to secure a Freestyle to Music victory with an outstanding 74.792%. Their consistent results also delivered them the Aachen Youngstars Junior Champion title, supported by Uvex.

Speaking on social media Isla commented, "What a show! So so pleased with Vagabond this weekend, he really tried for me and I was so impressed with how he coped with the atmosphere & the beautiful Christmas decorations in the arena! This has been the most amazing show and never in a million years would I think that I would be the Junior Champion. Thank you so much to everyone who supports us through our journey, especially Alex Harrison for being the best trainer I could ask for, my family for supporting me throughout the ups and the downs, British Dressage and the BD selectors for believing in me and especially thank you to the people who work tirelessly in the background, ensuring that the horses needs are all cared for."

Young Rider Claudia Davis also travelled to Aachen to contest the 18 - 21 category with her own Fergus RT (Uphill x Ferro) achieving 67.353% for 12th in the Team test and 66.372% in the Individual test.
