Taking place at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire, on Saturday 6 & Sunday 7 November viewers can expect 10 hours of top training from Novice to Grand Prix with four world class hosts.

On Saturday at the National Convention, test riding takes centre stage with star rider Philipp Hess joined by Olympic and FEI 5* judge Katrina Wuest working with demo riders to give top tips and fast fixes for better tests and better marks. The afternoon sessions on day one will see Freestyle to Music test riding feature at the National Convention for the very first time. British music maestro and man behind Team GB freestyle medal success, Tom Hunt, will join the line up as guest presenter to critique three riders in Novice, Advanced Medium and Grand Prix Freestyle demonstrations. With Freestyle dressage at the very forefront of the sport’s worldwide success, we’re excited to present this new addition to audiences attending in person and viewing online.

On Sunday, the focus returns to the training arena as day one host Philipp returns with his father and dressage icon Christoph Hess to take us back to basics. We’ll consider Katrina’s judging comments from Saturday’s sessions, alongside the scales of training and key dressage theory, to look for easy exercises and best practice to apply in day-to-day work in the arena at home, with all types of horses from Novice level and beyond. Each day at the National Convention will come to a close with a Grand Prix demo session, showcasing the very pinnacle of dressage training and competition.

We’ll also be bringing you Tokyo talk and Olympic inspiration, celebrating a summer of success for British Dressage. Enjoy a Making Medallists panel discussion on each day at Hartpury, with members of the British Equestrian support team answering your questions on travelling horses, perfecting preparation and mastering mindset ahead of big occasions on the greatest sporting stage.

With four top hosts, two days of action and 10 hours of training ready and waiting, the National Convention is for all, giving you all accessible tips to improve your training and competition success at every level, for every individual goal.

Join us online with Horse and Country TV throughout the weekend and for 90 days on demand after the event. For British Dressage members live streaming tickets are just £45, and £55 for non-members.
