Venues allocated for 2027 to 2029 Petplan Area Festivals

British Dressage is delighted to announce the venues allocated to host Petplan Winter and Summer Area Festivals from 2027 to 2029.
Earlier this year approved BD venues were invited to apply to host an Area Festival; over 64 venues across the UK submitted applications for this cycle, marking the highest number of applications received to date.
Each application was reviewed in detail by the BD Fixtures Panel, a sub-group of the Sport Operations Technical Committee. With only 11 Winter and 17 Summer Area Festivals to fill, places were rewarded to those who’ve shown admirable commitment and significant investment in recent years.
To host an Area Festival, venues must meet minimum criteria to ensure they can accommodate large numbers of competitors while providing high-quality facilities for riders, judges and officials. Applications were assessed against several key factors, including venue facilities and surfaces, stabling and accessibility, geographical location and each venue’s track record in organisation, customer care, and compliance with BD protocols.
We would like to thank the venues that have supported Area Festivals over many years, their energy and passion helps make these events a special experience for members. The upcoming three-year cycle will see a mix of returning venues and new hosts joining the BD major events calendar, and we look forward to working with them to continue the success of the Area Festivals.
