Being a member of British Dressage is not just about competing but also about developing your riding and your horses’ way of going.
At British Dressage we understand the importance of finding the right coach and the BD Coaches' Database is an easily accessible list of coaches at various levels throughout the UK. Here you can find a coach and be assured that all those listed have up to date first aid and safeguarding certificates, public liability insurance and have agreed to abide by the code of conduct.
BD Accredited Coaches hold a Level 3 dressage qualification and have been assessed by BD assessors, or hold a dressage-endorsed UKCC Level 4 qualification. They have shown a good knowledge of modern coaching skills and sound technical knowledge up to and including Advanced Medium level. This status may also be granted to a very experienced coach who is also a member of the International Dressage Trainers Club and has trained at least one combination to international small tour level.
BD Recognised Coaches hold a Level 2 dressage qualification or a UKCC qualification from another relevant equestrian discipline. They have shown a good basic knowledge of modern coaching skills and have a sound technical knowledge of dressage up to Elementary level.
