Stabling
For those competing at the NAF Five Star Winter Championships and the Petplan Area Festival Championships there are stables available to hire during the duration of the competition.
There will be 77 permanent barn stables, plus temporary barn stables available on the show ground and these can be booked online, details are as following:
- Temporary stables are £38 a night, with the option to upgrade to a permanent stable for an extra £20 per night (£58 in total).
- Stable hire is from 16.00 on the day of arrival to 15.00 on the day of departure (access is available from 13.00 on Tuesday 9 April).
- Horses may arrive after 13.00 on Tuesday 9 April and all horses must depart on Sunday 14 April.
- Horses requiring stabling must arrive on the show ground before 18.30. Should any competitor be delayed, they must contact the
Stable Manager on 07487 423564. - The Stable Managers Office will open at 06.00 and close at 19.00 each day.
- If you have a horse stabled on site at night you may stay overnight on the show ground in a horsebox, caravan or tent.
Booking your stable
- Stable bookings can be made through the online booking system when entering the Championships - within the stabling section for temporary stables, for the permanent stables add on the permanent supplement through the sundry section as well.
- All stables need to be booked online through the online entry system when entering the championships, please refer to the terms and conditions of stable hire below prior to booking.
- If you wish to increase the number of nights a horse is stabled once the initial stable booking is made, please contact the Show Secretary on 07790 309424 to amend your booking.
- Should space be available, late stabling requests made to the Show Secretary on 07790 309424 after 14 March may be accepted, however, they will be subject to an additional fee of £5 per stable per night.
Electrical hook up
A limited number of 6amp electrical hook ups are available for horseboxes at a cost of £96 (inc. VAT) per hook up for the period that you are staying at the show ground. Please note that electrical hook up is not available for tents. See section 25 of General Rules and Regulations within the show schedule above for full details on electrical hook ups.
Electrical hook ups must be booked online through the entry system by 14 March 2024 and is on a first come, first served basis:
You will need a 16amp (blue socket) extension cable to connect to the socket supplied by the Organiser. It is your responsibility to ensure that all of your cables and electrical equipment comply with current electrical regulations and that all electrical items in your horsebox have a current PAT certificate.
Stable bedding
All stables will be empty of bedding at the start of occupancy and no bedding is provided with the hire of the stable. Natural flake shavings may be purchased from the Stable Manager's Office at £8.00 per bale from 08.00 - 19.00. Straw isn't permitted in the stables.

HorseHage are the official supplier of the NAF Five Star Winter Championships and may be purchased from the Stable Manager's Office.
Terms and conditions of stable hire
- Please refer to the General Rules and Regulations in the Championship Schedule for all terms and conditions.
- Any damage caused to stables will be charged to the hirer.
- It is understood by competitors that horseboxes/trailers may be parked some distance from the stables and it is understood that it may not be possible to park competitors who have more than one horsebox/trailer at the Championship in the same location.
- Occupants are advised that stables must be vacated on time so that stables may be sanitised before incoming horses are stabled. If stables are not vacated on time a fine of £80 per stable may be charged for late departure.
- All competitors will pay a £20 per stable cash deposit upon arrival at the Stable Manager's Office prior to being allocated stables. This deposit is fully refundable prior to departure and upon confirmation that the competitors stable has been emptied of bedding and left tidy. If the stable is not emptied of bedding and left tidy the deposit will not be refunded.
- Should the permanent barn stables not be filled on every night, horses may be upgraded.
- Horses/ponies may not be stabled in horseboxes/ trailers. A competitor found stabling their horse/pony in such a way will be asked to leave the show ground.
- Any competitor who enters or makes use of any stable that has not been officially reserved for their use will be liable for the daily charge for that stable and an additional fine of £80 for that stable.
