What a year 2020 has been on the international stage for our teams and individuals! Medal success, top ten placings and a number of personal best performances across the Olympics, Paralympics, European Championships and FEI fixtures both at home and abroad. And the future is looking bright with a great pool of talent coming through the grades.
A key part of the results is the infrastructure behind the programmes and teams and the personnel who deliver them – the team behind the team. We’re recruiting for a number of vacancies, paid and volunteer, where individuals can make a real impact on the future success of our riders, squads and teams internationally.
David Trott has completed his term on the panel so we’re looking for a dedicated individual to join International Director Judy Harvey and Jenny Ward. The senior selectors cover CDIs for both senior and U25 riders as well as the international FEI championships annually in the age groups, including the World Breeding Championships.
Carolyn Gardiner has also come to the end of her permitted term on the panel, creating a vacancy to join Jane McGarel-Groves and Joyce Head on the selection panel for our para riders for international shows and championships.
All at British Dressage are grateful to David and Carolyn for their longstanding contribution, expertise and dedication to their roles.
In the youth divisions, we’re expanding the selection panel from two to three and welcome applications from individuals to work with Nikki Herbert and Leanne Wall. The U21 remit covers CDIs and FEI championship teams at Pony, Children on Horses, Junior and Young Rider levels.
We’re also searching for two U21 Coach Advisors to work within the established framework to deliver an effective structure to help develop and support the riders and horses within the age groups with international ambition.
Applications for the positions above are now open, please send in a letter of application detailing your skillset in relation to the role description and your current CV. For the Coach Advisor role, an indication of your day rate would be appreciated within your application. All applications are invited to submit an Equality and Diversity form with their application.
Please email your application to firstname.lastname@example.org or send by post to Ben Waterhouse, British Dressage, Building 2020, Copse Drive, Meriden Business Park, Meriden, West Midlands CV5 9RG. Closing day for all roles is 31 October 2021, with interviews taking place during the first week of November.
