NAF Five Star Winter Championships: Final timetable now live
- Written By:
With just over one week to go until the NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships, incorporating the Petplan Equine Winter Area Festival Championships, we are excited to release the final timetable for the event.
After two years of running behind closed doors during the pandemic, BD members can look forward to an Easter extravaganza at Hartpury College, as the NAF Five Star Winter Championships returns to its normal spring slot, from 13 to 17 April.
We look forward to crowning 22 new champions, from Preliminary to FEI Intermediate I, as well as welcoming back sponsors, trade stands and spectators for the first time since 2019.
Having reviewed the timetable with our event organisers Show Direct, we’re delighted to confirm that mounted prize givings will also be returning for the top three in each of the 22 classes, along with a normal operation for our warm-up arenas.
Jason Brautigam, Chief Executive of British Dressage, commented: “With the government removing all remaining COVID restrictions, it was always our intention to review the format of the championships prior to finalising the timetable and schedule.
We’ve also listened to feedback from our members and sponsors – and everyone is in agreement that it is the right time for mounted prize givings to be reinstated. We want to make sure that each of our winners get their moment in the spotlight and hope you’ll join us over the Easter weekend to congratulate those placed top three in the NAF Five Star Arena. After two years of having to restrict numbers on site, it will be great to welcome back riders and their supporters, as well as our sponsors and trade stands too. We are looking forward to a fantastic week of dressage, bringing our winter season to a climax.”
For those who are Hartpury-bound – whether as a competitor, owner, official or supporter – the final timetable features all the information you need to help plan your visit.
Competitors getting ready to head to Hartpury should visit www.bdchampionships.com to help with their final preparations. Times will be published here from 10.00am on Saturday 9 April, so please check our website then for the final list of runners and riders.
Entry to the NAF Five Star Winter Dressage Championships is free for members and supporters, so come and join us for five days of dressage action, where you can be inspired by the competition and visit the trade stands for a spot of retail therapy.
If you can’t be there in person, Horse & Country will once again be providing a live stream of all three arenas for subscribers to their H&C+ platform.
