There were double sash winners galore at Sparsholt Summer Regional Championships (15-17 July 2022) as temperatures and scores soared. Georgie Nicholls, Nicola Buchanan and Dannie Morgan all topped two classes gaining double regional championship wins and qualifications for the Le Mieux National Championships at Somerford Park (15-18 September).

The British Junior team have today secured a tremendous team bronze at the FEI European Championships for Juniors and Young Riders, taking place this week at Hartpury in Gloucestershire (25 – 31 July 2022), while our Young Rider quartet also did themselves proud to finish just outside the podium in a close-fought contest for team medal honours.

With horse inspection complete and the Championships ribbon cut at a spectacular opening ceremony in the Hartpury Arena, four British riders took to the arena for part one of the team medal competition. 

The FEI European Championships are taking place this week (25 – 31 July 2022) on home turf at Hartpury College, Gloucestershire, with the British Juniors and Young Riders taking centre stage.

A Lincolnshire school sports hall has been named after Sophie Wells OBE, one of Great Britain’s most successful Paralympians, following student feedback from a group of 15 Year 9 students.

The following rider has been selected to represent Great Britain this week at Deauville CDI3* in France (21 – 24 July 2022).

The concluding Premier League fixture of 2022 took place last week at the Leicestershire venue of Vale View Equestrian (14 - 17 July 2022), featuring four great days of competition streamed live to viewers by Horse & Country. Kathleen Kröncke posted a Grand Prix double, Sara-Jane Lanning and Hawtins Lirica shone in the small tour classes, while Sarah Millis’s young star continues to impress.

British Dressage is delighted to announce the appointment of two new regional Chairs in adjoining regions.  Sarah Farrand, long term Senior Training representative and Chef d'Equipe and Katie Powell, founder of a Surrey based rehab and competition yard will take up their posts in the North & East and South & East regions respectively in September. 

British Dressage is delighted to confirm the four horse and rider combinations, plus reserves, that will form their list of definite entries ahead of the FEI Dressage World Championship, set to take place in Herning, Denmark, from 6–14 August this year.

Hartpury Festival of Dressage, (6-10 July) hosted the annual KBIS Young Pony Championship for four-, five- and six-year-olds not exceeding 149cms.  The competition was excellent with aspiring young ponies showing outstanding talent and future potential.
