Festival Focus - Moreton Equestrian College 21

The first South West summer festival at Moreton Equestrian (10 – 11 July) saw qualified riders gain a place at the Petplan Equine Area Summer Championship in October. A full weekend of musical action alongside busy classes proved to be an interesting competition.

 

Petplan’s picks!  

First time Area Festival competitors Olivia Van Grudgings and Pencarder Cry For The Moon were successful in winning the Novice Bronze with 72.43%. The dapple grey mare has done her owner proud in their first season together, “We had a fab time at Moreton Equestrian Centre on Sunday winning the Novice Bronze, still can’t quite believe it!”

In a strong Elementary Bronze class, Becca Midwinter and Marstonpark Lupina took the victory with a score of 67.21%. With another first, this is their debut to affiliated dressage competition after regularly contending in eventing for three years. Only attending a handful of competitions, they have had a successful season so far, winning all classes. We look forward to seeing them at the Championships.

To finish of the day of firsts, in the Prelim Bronze, Ellie Roe and Corscaron Cardi Llywd took the win in their first Area Festival with 69.51%. After previously having a very successful few years in U21 Quest, they have turned their hand to a new competition. We hope they can be just as competitive as they are off to a great start.
